We are delighted to add to our Podcasts the Nine Day Novena with reflections from Mother Teresa (now known as Saint Teresa of Calcutta). There are 11 podcasts which includes: an Introduction podcast, 9 Daily Meditations and then a Closing podcast. Following the link here.
Mother Teresa spent a great part of her life connecting to her spouse Jesus; praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament; praying using scripture; praying in company with Mary the Most Holy Rosary. Her prayer became an action of love. Witnessing her love of God as she cared for the poorest of the poor. She recognised the image of Jesus in the distressing disguise of the poor and the dignity of every person. ‘We are not here for the work, we are here for Jesus. All we do is for Him. We are first of all religious; we are not social workers, not teachers, not nurses or doctors, we are religious sisters. We serve Jesus in the poor. We nurse Him, feed Him, clothe Him, visit Him, comfort Him in the poor, the abandoned, the sick, the orphans, the dying. But all we do, our prayer, our work, our suffering is for Jesus. Our life has no other reason or motivation.’ Words of Mother Teresa.
You are invited to pray and reflect on Mother’s words which will allow the grace of God to permeate your senses. There you will find the peace of Christ as you hear the words being spoken personally to you!
